We Made It....Thanks to all of you

Just after noon, Michelle and I made it to AIDHC.  It was a nice and scenic ride up Rte 9 in Delaware.  When we arrived at AIDHC we were greeted by tons of our friends and colleagues......That was very special .......thanks.

After a nice reception at the Mansion, we headed to my folks house where we had cheesestaeks and hoagies.  Now that was worth the ride.

I am very honored by the support and the ability to so visibly say thank you.  All of the folks at AIDHC have had such a tremendous impact on me and my family.  You are all very special.

I look forward to figuring out what is next for me, but I would urge all of us, each day, to try to make a difference in other's lives.  Thanks again for all of the support.  I hope we will get to the $100K goal.   We are very close

We will posting more pictures soon and I will post one or two more thoughts.

Thanks again.

Steve - congrats and thanks, I am proud to be your colleague! Michelle - thanks for the silent inspiration you provided, even though you didn't write in the blog it was evident you were a critical part of the team! I wish I could have been there in person as you finished it sounds like it was a great celebration.

We'll never have as much fun at an SMS meeting as we did today, walking from Rockland I to the RMHD and hanging out in the sun by the Associate TajGarage awaiting your arrival. What an honor it was to be among your first cheering section to get you psyched for the crowd on the steps of Nemours. When you greeted your littlest well-wisher, the little girl with the walker, we all melted. She and so many others like her are better off because of your aching legs and sore fanny and Michelle's awesome attention to everything else. Congratulations to you both! Keep your posts coming with reflections and the date for next year! AJW

Steve and Michelle:

Wonderful to see you this afternoon and welcome you to the end of this journey.

From all the members of my family, scattered near and far, thanks for sharing your vision, your committment and your courage.

A special thanks from me for leading not just with your intellect, but your heart and your passion, too.

You have said many times now that each of us has the chance to make a difference, and you do.

Congrats! Well done. Thank you for sharing your daughters story with everyone. And thank you for reminding me what a privilege it is to work at a place like Nemours.

Steve Sparks - you are amazing! You have raised more money and more media than any one employee of Nemours as far as I know - and you did it just to honor your daughter and the people at AIDHC who treated Katie. What a difference you have made and what an example you have set. I am so proud to have worked with you, and so proud of what you have done for Nemours! I know I have joked about your extremes in the past, but I am so excited that you have accomplished this milestone - what a selfless endeavor. Congratulations! Live Strong...(had to throw in that Lance Armstrong bit given the bike ride and all...) Vivian
